Magnificent Monday - September 15, 2008

AND THE WINNERS ARE.......

Stonewall Elementary Characters of the Week
Our Magnificent Monday Celebrations continued this week with only our veteran K-4 students in the lime light (or lemon light as London Tipton calls it on The Suite Life of Zach and Cody). This week we introduced the 'Positive Pinata,' a travelling trophy for the class who participates and behaves the best. For this first week, the huge pinata will find a home in Mrs. Lovelis's class as her students were chosen by the Stuco as the winners. We learned that part of our responsibility is perseverance and we discussed Wilma Rudolph as our 'Persevering Hero.' Ms. Rudolph overcame crippling polio to become the first woman to win three gold Olympic medals in track and field in one game.

Mrs. Lovelis's class is the first to host the travelling pinata trophy for great participation and good behavior during our assembly.
